Thank you for being a part of the Tone Ranger family. Lovingly crafted in my one-man shop in Los Angeles, I poured dozens of hours into your instrument and I sincerely hope you get as much enjoyment playing it as I did building it.
Each instrument is unique as every neck is shaped the old-fashioned way - by hand, with no two exactly alike. I proudly stand behind my craftsmanship, and this instrument comes with a transferable lifetime warranty for the original purchaser and future owners alike. Any repairs needed resulting from craftsmanship are covered. This includes resigning the headstock or reapplying the silkscreened logo. This warranty also includes an annual setup, and discounted modifications and parts repairs. Shipping to and from my shop is not included, but local pickup and drop off is welcome.
This instrument has a hand-rubbed finish using Walrus Oil Furniture Butter and is meant to wear and relic a little faster than other finishes so you can tell your own story, with each scar and road-worn blemish a marker of your musical journey. However, it’s very easy to repair yourself if so inclined. Simply sand with the grain using 320-grit sandpaper to remove the mark or scratch, then re-apply a thin coat of Walrus Oil Furniture Butter and buff dry. If the back of the neck gets too glossy over time, use 400-grit sandpaper to return it to its smooth, matte feel. I don’t recommend guitar polish as it can leave glossy spots. I always recommend wiping down the strings and guitar with a clean, dry cloth after playing to prolong the life of the strings and to prevent corrosion. To remove stains or built up dirt, use a little mineral spirits on a lint free cloth or shop towel and wipe the guitar with some elbow grease.
